Catalaxy, Larvatus Prodeo and Club Troppo are all proudly displaying spam from Crikey. Come on guys, it ain’t really a “guest post” when its just a “do my job for me” request copied to the more influential Australian bloggers. I know it may feel a bit flattering, but it looks just a little stupid.
Both Quiggin and Polly are looking cute today.
Peter Martin may be an economics writer for the Canberra Times, but he’s sounding distinctly leftwing with headlines like these. Martin may be weeping, but Nicholson put’s it best, Lefty is also worth a read.
Grammer nazi, The Hack, is a little pissed following the birthday of “Australia’s most over-hyped, over-exposed lump of iron and stone”. Here’s a pointless competition for bored spelling Nazi’s, first fascist to find the spelling mistake in this post gets a pat on the head (you come here for the pat).
In meta-blogging news, Philip Lius presents 101 ideas for blog posts, of which this was one.
And Bartlett engages an issue that I first encountered when studying the bullshit concept of “issues” in high-school earlier this century. Apparantly Zimbabwe is still not a nice place.

I know there are different views on this - not least from some of the commenters at Troppo - but I must say I find it odd that there is this idea that we should be proprietorial about out blogs. I guess I’m proprietorial in the sense that I like people visiting an contributing and thinking Troppo is worth the effort to visit. But if we can help others do their jobs, what exactly is the problem?
In the world of business I’m always surprised at how rarely firms - even firms that are in the same industry and are competing against each other in some major way - like to get customers - can nevertheless benefit from co-operating with each other. (And I’m not talking of collusion or ‘government relations’)
